Everybody loves extraordinary printed materials which sometimes require extraordinary effort to be accomplished. In the past, these amazing things are hard to achieve, and it takes a genius to realize something special. But with the invention of high-tech printers, almost any printing product is possible. And possibilities expand with the emergence of special printing process. special printing makes special prints for and with special materials.

(1)    Special printing defined. Special printing is a method of adding special effects to ordinary images or surfaces. It may also refer to a printing process that is used in surfaces that cannot be printed by ordinary printer.

 

(2)    Its special purposes. This method is an answer to the ever growing want for “more” beautiful results and for the attainment of what in the past is impossible. It is used to enhance the color, the background, and the surface of an image or text in ordinary or special mediums.

 

(3)    Types of special printing. The use of 4-, 6- or higher-color printing techniques makes shaper-colored pictures. Some also use varnish and other finishing touches. Other techniques like embossing and foil stamping, or the combination of the two, uses special die and foil fusing. And lastly, metallic coverings are very useful in some electronic and industrial manufacturing.

 

(4)    Special products. Common products of special printing are clothes’ and textile’s print. For example, t-shirt can be printed by rubberized paint to create durable raised print design. Large imprints in textile products are also carried out by special printing machines. The texture of book pages and papers became smooth because of this method. Special techniques are also used in CD, DVD or VCD surfaces. Also, difficult materials like glass, plastics and even tubes and spherical items become easy to print. These and other things that makes special printing really special.

 

(5)    Special advantages. Special printing method produces more-than-the-usual features, for example, to photographs and stamps. It can make something more presentable and more durable than the ordinary. This printing process also leads the way to faster, better and more productive advertising: special effects are additional eye-catching and convincing factors.
